"Whoa, calm down there, sis," Zach said hastily. I don't even know that much about him!" she fumed. We're friends, and we're not even that close. "You are so not helping right now!" Eva yelled at Alex, throwing her hands into the air. "Weeeell, it looked like you guys are pretty close friends," Alex interrupted. "He was flirting with my sister?" he asked in outrage. Zach's head immediately whipped around and he stared at Eva accusingly. "Wait, wait, Josh is your new college buddy? The Josh that Eva was flirting with on the subway?" Alex asked in astonishment. "I'm heading off to a college party," Zach explained. "I'll be mysteriously ill if my choices keep being taken away from me," she threatened. I just wanted to pretend like you had a choice first."
"Well, I have to ask, and it would have been nice to know earlier so I could have asked them like a polite person would do," Eva said pointedly. "Is it possible that you and Sophie could spend a night at the Matthews tonight?" "Oh, by the way, Evvie, you know how Mom's away for the weekend and Dad's off for work like usual?" No one in their right minds would make fun of her," Zach stated. Matthew's name is Topanga, and they don't make fun of her," Eva defended. It's a pretty strange name," Alex agreed. "Yeah, I wouldn't have told them either if I were you. "Are you kidding me?" Eva asked in disbelief. I thought your friends already knew your name." "But I'm enjoying this, because now I have something to tease Alex about and something to tease you about. "I gotta say, Evvie, you kind of walked right in to this problem," Zach admitted. "But it's going to take more than that to sway me from my revenge here." "Alright, alright, you made your point, I'm sorry I teased you, will you ever forgive me? You're my favorite cousin!" she added, giving him a hopeful smile. or should I say-" Alex was cut off as Eva threw her hands over his mouth. "Oh no, the suspense is killing me," she said dramatically. Something your friends have been very persistent at trying to force out of me."Įv paled and threw her hands up in mock horror. "I do have something I can use against you. "And you were wrong, cousin," Alex said, grinning evilly. "I'm not sure who the other Boing is," she admitted. "The other Boings are Josh- you met him on the subway, and." Eva trailed off, frowning. "Like you have anything you could use against me," Eva rolled her eyes- again. "More importantly, why would you do this to me, Eva? Now I'll be forced to take drastic measures- after you answer my questions," Alex declared. "Why do you want to know? Scouting out the competition?" Zach laughed. Who are the other two, anyways?" Alex asked. "Well, Boing the Third is hardly a solid nickname. "Seriously, Zach?" Eva groaned, punching her brother playfully on the arm. "And she's interested in you?" he asked Alex in disbelief. "She called you Boing III!" Ev exclaimed. "And what's this got to do with me?" Alex asked. "Yeah, she calls the boys she likes by a nickname with some form of Boing," Ev explained. "Isn't Maya the one who calls Josh Uncle Boing?" Zach asked, confused. "Wait, she gave me a nickname? I didn't even notice," he said, confused.
You have been named by the Maya, and the name will never go away," Ev smiled at her cousin, who paled. "Oh, trust me, there's nothing you can do now. "Look, whatever it is, I probably didn't do it." So you'll never live it down," Ev said, giving Alex a sweet smile. You know, I was wanting to ask you something. "Wow, I feel so loved," Alex frowned at her. "Well, it's kind of a small, private, invitation- only kind of thing," Ev explained, grinning and swinging Sophie around in circles. "You started a party without us?" Zach asked, extending his hand to help her up, which would have been a nice gesture if her hadn't been the one to knock her down. She screamed in surprise as she fell to the ground, hearing Sophie laughing in the background. The door opened, but neither Ev nor Sophie noticed this, as they were dancing around to Disney at top volume.Įva had just set Sophie down when somebody jumped on top of her. Sophie had been sick for an entire week, but when she had finally recovered, all she wanted to do was run around, dance, and be crazy. Sophie was also excited, and right now, she was on a sugar high from sneaking into the kitchen and eating half of a chocolate cake covered in whipped cream. Eva knew Maya was really hopeful about this oppurtunity, and so was she. It had been about two weeks since Katy Hart had asked Shawn out on a date. Ev laughed, swinging Sophie around in a circle as the two of them dance around the living room.
